RAT-7
Already own a RAT-3-D2 and a machete, good tools Wanted replacement for Ka-Bar fighting knife. It will not stay sharp. The glass in the composition sheath dulls the blade with every withdrawal of the knife. Now for the RAT -7: Pros; full tang no false edge on back of blade flat grind indistructable scales which still produce traction even when wet. hardness seems good. easy to sharpen. Cons; Came dull. 1 hour on a stone, now its great. Sheath is junk. Bought after market Kydex sheath. Now it's great Grip is clunky. Have not attacked recontouring the grip. Hate the black coating on the blade. Paint/epoxy remover has solved that. Now the blade is slick without friction. Descrepancies were easy to fix. Basic blade is 100%.
