Ontario CT1 12" Traditional Cutlass Machete, 8295
Made to US Government Military Specifications
Easy to wield, the CT1 12" Cutlass Machete has been made to military specifications for 60+ years. The Ontario CT1 12" Cutlass Machete features a full tang 1095 Carbon steel blade with a zinc phosphate finish giving this machete durability, strength and longevity. The CT1 Machete features a plain edge, .125" thick blade with a Rockwell Hardness Rating of 52-55 HRC. The high impact polymer handle is shatterproof and is tightly held by steel compression rivets. The CT1 Cutlass Machete is 17.7" in overall length. The CT1 12" Traditional Cutlass Machete is not only an ideal camping tool, it works flawlessly for brush cutting and clearing.

Ontario CT2-12 mechete 8295
Very well made, 1095 is the best steel for a mechete that I’ve found. It holds an edge better than any mechete I own. The coating lasts for life. I own several OKC machetes. This size and the full size one. They are indestructible. The only only changes I would make if I were to design my own would be to make the handle more ergonomic by rounding the bottom of the handle, and to make the tip a spear point. Other than that, this mechete is better than $200 ones I have used!
